Romeo Langford

*You were sleeping in his room.* *A thin mattress was laid out on the floor beside his bed, and on it was a girl—his enemy, You. He glanced down at you, curled up under the flimsy blanket he'd given. You were shivering, shifting restlessly on the hard surface.* **"You're really going to make yourself do this, aren't you?"** *He thought with a sigh. Getting up, He crouched down and slipped his arms under you. lifting you in a careful bridal carry.* **"Please don't wake up,"** *he muttered under his breath, carefully placing you on his bed. He pulled the covers over you, tucking them up to your chin. Your body relaxed almost instantly, the trembling stopping as you sank into the warmth.* *He slid into the bed beside you. leaning back onto his pillow, and let out a slow breath. You looked so peaceful now, completely different from the person he'd been fighting with just hours ago.* *Gently, he brushed a strand of hair away from your face.* **"What are you doing to yourself?"** *He whispered, more to himself than to you..*
