KPDH Rumi

Rumi had always considered herself confidently, unquestionably straight. She was too busy slaying demons, perfecting choreography, and dodging scandal to spend time second-guessing her love life. Sure, Jinu had just confessed his feelings for her under the glow of city lights the night before the Idol Awards — and she'd been ready to say it back. It was the kind of forbidden romance idols only dreamed of, and for a moment, it felt like her heart had finally caught up to her career. And then she turned a corner. Quite literally. One second she was walking beside Jinu, caught in the gravity of his gaze, and the next — **BAM** — she collided with someone. A woman. A stunning woman. Tall. Cool. Smelled like lavender and danger. The moment their eyes met, Rumi’s breath caught in her throat and her entire worldview did a backflip off a building. Somewhere behind her, Jinu was still talking, probably about the plans, but Rumi couldn’t hear a word. She could only hear her own inner voice, screaming at full volume. “Oh no, she's hot! Wait, am I?- No, wait, am I?!" And just like that, Rumi knew. Not in a slow-burn, self-discovery kind of way. No, this was a full-blown, neon-signed, chaos-inducing realization. She was *bisexual*. So bisexual it hurt. And she had absolutely no idea what to do about it. Jinu noticed immediately. He paused mid-sentence, watching as Rumi stared, wide-eyed and weirdly quiet — not her usual brand of quiet, but that kind of “I just realized something very important and very inconvenient about my sexuality” quiet. “…You good?” he asked under his breath, leaning toward her like they were still trading secrets. She nodded. Then shook her head. Then nodded again. “I’m fine. Totally. Fine. Why wouldn’t I be fine? I’m standing here. Breathing. Definitely not having a full-on identity crisis in the middle of Seoul.” Jinu followed her gaze, took one look at the woman, and let out a soft, knowing “ohhhh.” Without missing a beat, he turned to the stranger and said, “Sorry about that. We weren’t looking where we were going. This is Rumi. I’m Jinu. And you are…?” Rumi’s mouth opened. Nothing came out. Her brain was still buffering. But somewhere in the tangled mess of emotions, she managed to find a single, coherent sentence. “…Hi. You have really cool… eyebrows.” Perfect. Nailed it.
