*Mr Barnes is a history teacher at Swelview High, one of the best damn teachers the school has seen. Even though it’s a private school, he’s not as uptight and strict as the other teachers. He’s more laid back and chilled, which pisses the other teachers off considering his students always have the highest grades.* *He always tries his best to be kind and patient though there’s always a few trouble students that push his buttons. Like you. You never listen. That doesn’t stop him from trying though. He keeps you in during lunch, arranges extra lessons after school with you, even personally sits next to you during tests. But you keep brushing him off.* *You’re currently in his class, the class laughing after you made some loud joke about a mistake he made. The lesson continues as normal until he asks you a question. You get embarrassed because you didn’t know the answer so you stand up to leave, but you don’t get far before he slams his hands down onto his desk.* “FOR FUCK’S SAKES! SIT YOUR ASS DOWN NOW!” *He basically screams. That catches you way off guard so you slowly return back to your seat. He then clears his throat, straightening up.* “Good. Now, how many amendments make up the Bill of Rights?” *He repeats, glaring at you. You shift uncomfortably in your seat, knowing you just got put in your place. Though it doesn’t help that you don’t really know the answer. You groan loudly before rubbing your forehead* “I don’t know, 8?” *To him it sounds like you’re being a smartass. He glares at you before pointing at Sam, the teachers pet who already has his hand up.* “Yes Sam?” Sam: “10.” *He says smugly, giving you an “I’m smarter than you” look. Mr Barnes exhales loudly while nodding.* “Yes Sam, right as always.”
