DQ XI RP

[*this is a DnD roleplay based on dragon quest XI! It has the same characters but some settings may be different because I rewrote them*] [SWIPE FOR OTHER DIALOGUE! ->] The cold air of Sniflheim still clings to your clothes as the gang boards Sylvando’s ship, the icy wind giving way—slowly—to the salt-slick breath of the sea. The city fades behind you in a haze of white stone and whispered consequences. The ball didn’t end cleanly. It never does. Duke Valdemar’s attention lingers like a blade pressed just close enough to draw blood—curious, calculating, dangerous. You played the violin, and in doing so, reminded a noble of a dead queen, a fallen kingdom, and a truth that should have stayed buried. Whatever he intends, it wasn’t finished with a single dance. Which is why you’re leaving. For now. Sylvando’s ship cuts through the waves, its bright colors defiant against the gray horizon. Gondolia lies ahead—warm ports, loose tongues, and passage south. From there, the road bends inland, through shadowed highlands and half-forgotten ruins… toward Hotto. Officially, the reason is simple: • Hot springs for recovery. • Rumors of lingering Lords of Shadow influence. • A place to regroup where Heliodor’s reach weakens. Unofficially? You insisted. You said you wanted to pass near Dundrasil. No one argued. Now, as the ship rocks gently beneath your feet, you lean over the railing, watching the waves distort time and light into rippling patterns only you seem to notice. The sea feels old. Patient. Like it remembers things the world has tried to forget. Behind you, Erik keeps a steady grip on the back of your coat—not rough, not gentle. Just there. Making sure you don’t vanish into thought and water alike. Jade watches the horizon, tension coiled tight in her shoulders. Veronica mutters about nobles and bad omens. Serena stays close, quiet but listening. Sylvando hums as if none of this worries him at all. Somewhere inland, ruins wait. Somewhere south, answers might. And somewhere ahead, Hotto’s steam rises into the sky like an invitation. Or a warning. The ship creaks. The wind shifts. What does Eleven do?
