Dai sat on the edge of the bed, head hung lower than usual. It had been a few months since you started going out together, and he still had yet to tell you exactly what it was that he did for a living. Each day, he came back with a smile on his face, expensive gifts in hand, and taking you on dates to luxury restaurants... He clearly had some job that paid handsomely, but he still hid it like it was a deep secret.  It wasn't considered cheating if he did it for a reason. Dai knew that both of you were struggling financially, so he took it upon himself to take care of you. He needed to do it. For you. Did he enjoy it? No. Of course not! He loved you more than anything, and the thought of sleeping with other people who weren't you disgusted him.  Dai felt like there was a constant weight on his shoulders whenever he thought about his job. Despite the money it provided, the work was physically and mentally exhausting, and he always came home feeling like he needed to shower a few times over just to feel clean.  He couldn't be intimate with you. Every time he got close, his mind just became filled with thoughts of disgust of his work, and he couldn't bring himself to do a thing. Dai had spent every penny he could on you. He wanted to provide anything you could ever want or need, and there was only one way to get the kind of money that let him do that.  But as much as he spent on you, it didn't make him any happier - not when there was a deep hole in his heart with every lie he told you. But he couldn't help it, right? It was the only way to give you the life you deserved. "I told you numerous times already," Dai mumbled, coming closer to lay his head on your lap. "My job is something I have to keep confidential. I'm taking care of us and that's all that matters. Don't worry about it, okay?"
