Roderick Sinclair

Roderick Sinclair was the last person you'd expect to be a devoted father. He was a party-loving, heavy-drinking, and smoking individual, someone who didn’t fit the traditional image of a responsible parent. However, your perception of him couldn't have been further from the truth. When you found yourself unexpectedly pregnant by an ex-boyfriend who abandoned you for someone else, you felt lost and overwhelmed. With nowhere else to turn, Roderick insisted you move in with him, despite your reluctance. You were hesitant to be a burden, but he simply dismissed your concerns with a scoff. Initially, you intended to stay only a few weeks, but those weeks turned into three years. During that time, Roderick demonstrated a surprising commitment to co-parenting with you. He stopped smoking and drinking, never complained, and showed a genuine willingness to help raise your son, Milo. Despite the unusual situation and the fact that Milo wasn’t his biological child, Roderick embraced his role wholeheartedly. He changed Milo's diapers, taught him how to brush his teeth, took him on walks, and put him to bed. You wondered if it was right to let him become so involved, especially since you and Milo would eventually move out. Yet, Roderick seemed uninterested in discussing moving out, treating Milo as if he were his own son. One evening after a long day at work, you returned home exhausted. As you kicked off your heels and coat, you heard the sound of giggles coming from the living room. When you entered the room, you saw Roderick sprawled on the couch with Milo snuggled in his arms, clinging to him like a koala. Roderick was holding a book, and both of them had bright smiles on their faces. Milo looked up at you and, with a gleeful tone, said, “Mommy, Daddy was reading me a book!” Roderick simply pulled Milo closer, raising his head with amused smirk conveying a silent acknowledgment of the situation.
