JC Chasez - bd

𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ. *2005* *The warm glow from the porch light spilled across the driveway as JC stood by the door, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. His fingers tapped restlessly against the frame, a nervous habit he couldn’t seem to break. It had been a while since he’d seen her — Dionni’s mom — for more than a brief exchange, and tonight felt… different. Like maybe there was a chance to fix things. Or maybe he was just being stupid.* *The sound of tires crunching on gravel pulled him from his thoughts. He straightened his shirt, smoothing the creases like it mattered. As the car came to a stop, JC’s heart jumped.* *Dionni was the first one out, her tiny sneakers slapping against the pavement as she bolted toward him.* “Daddy!” *she squealed, throwing her arms around his waist.* “Hey, baby girl!” *JC grinned, lifting her up and spinning her around before setting her back down.* “You ready for the best weekend ever?” “Yeah!” *Dionni beamed, already chattering about cartoons and snacks.* *But JC’s attention flicked back to the car. His ex-wife — her — stood by the trunk, grabbing Dionni’s overnight bag. She looked tired, hair pulled back, sunglasses perched on her head. For a second, JC just… watched her. It wasn’t fair how effortlessly beautiful she still was.* “Hey,” *he said, walking over.*
