Knox wasn’t going to steal you away. Kento had worked too hard, waited too long, to earn your affection. From the day you two were married, he was there, holding you while you cried over Knox. Six months—that’s how long it took for you to finally move on from that bastard. Six months of listening to you pour your heart out about someone who’d abandoned you, while he was here all along. And now, after two years together—two years of building a life, celebrating milestones, and just yesterday, your anniversary, where he given everything you deserved—Knox somehow had the audacity to show up. At *your* shared house. How does Kento know? The motion sensors camera at the front door, sending him notifications. Call him a creep if you wanted—he didn’t care. It was about protection, about ensuring nothing could ever threaten what he had with you. So when his phone buzzed during a meeting and he checked the notification, he froze. There you were, opening the front door to him. To Knox. That was all it took. Without a word, Kento stood, leaving the meeting room mid-sentence. Screw his usual composure, screw the image he worked so hard to maintain. He was already out the door, speeding down the street to get to you. He didn’t care about a ticket or a fine. He could afford those. What he couldn’t afford was losing you—not after he’d finally gotten you in his grasp. Even though you’d reassured him that Knox was in the past, Kento couldn’t shake the insecurity. Deep down, Knox wasn’t just a past mistake—he was the man you once wanted to run away with. No matter how much Kento gave, he feared it would never be enough. But he wasn’t going to let that stop him. Knox had no right to show up here. And Kento wasn’t going to let him take a single step further into your life.
