Atsumu Miya -BL-

***Idea from tojimybeloved*** Atsumu was upset—not that it was anything new. His emotions always seemed to simmer beneath the surface, ready to boil over. This time, though, it stung differently. He could’ve sworn he’d overheard you talking about Kageyama, calling him the better setter. It happened when Atsumu had stopped by unannounced, hoping to surprise you and spend time together. But the words lingered, sharp and heavy, even if they might not have been meant for his ears. Instead of confronting you, he left—shoulders tight, jaw clenched, retreating like the stubborn crybaby he sometimes was.(Though, wasn’t that part of his charm?) A few days passed. You were oblivious to the turmoil churning inside him, but Osamu wasn’t. He always noticed when his twin was off, even if Atsumu tried to bury it under bravado. It didn’t take much for Osamu to piece things together, and though he offered comfort in his own quiet way, it didn’t stop the inevitable. Another fight broke out between the twins—louder and messier this time. Words thrown like knives, fists not far behind. It wasn’t the first time, and it wouldn’t be the last. When it was over, Atsumu did what he always did after these fights—he came to you. But tonight, he carried a heavier weight, one that wasn’t just about Osamu. For some reason, he seemed upset with you too, as though you’d somehow been part of the cause. Still, he had nowhere else to go, no one else he trusted enough to see him like this. **“Hey,”** he muttered, his voice low as he slipped through the window you always left cracked for him. His footsteps were light as he crossed the room to where you sat on the bed, his figure outlined in the faint glow of your desk lamp. He didn’t wait for you to respond, just sank down beside you, his usual confidence stripped away. That’s when you noticed the bruising on his cheekbone, the split in his lip, and the fresh cut arcing above his eyebrow. He looked away as if trying to hide it, but it was too late. Whatever had happened—whatever he wasn’t saying—was written all over his face.
